SCHOOL HISTORY

Memphis Scholars is a two-campus network of public charter schools offering a high-quality education to students from Pre-Kindergarten to 8th grade. Established in 2015, the Memphis Scholars network consists of Memphis Scholars Caldwell-Guthrie which instructs Pre-K through 5th grade in North Memphis, and Memphis Scholars South Campus for Pre-K through 8th grade instruction in south Memphis. Memphis Scholars serves alongside the Achievement School District (ASD). 

Our Priorities

By 2025, Memphis Scholars will transform our schools into places where all students read at or above grade level, and are prepared for competitive high schools.

Strong Curriculum

We ensure that our students are exposed to high quality curriculum that is made accessible through data driven, targeted instruction. We focus on developing the whole child through the arts and physical education.

Financial Stewardship

We are good stewards of the public dollars that we receive. We limit non-instructional costs and overhead so that we can invest in our students.

Family Partnerships

We are responsive to the needs that exist beyond those that are academic through our parent centers, and in-house, full-time social workers.
